What I love about Yoga is that it’s an exploration of our entire being: body, breath, mind and spirit. I come to these practices with joy first and foremost. The intention is to gently navigate our bodies into these beautiful postures which reflect the natural world so that we can better explore our deepest potential and connection to each other and to our planet with grace and lightness of heart.
I was incredibly lucky to be able to travel to India to study and receive my first Teacher Training Certification and I haven’t stopped studying and exploring the practices ever since. I teach in the vinyasa style, and emphasize an exploration of the breath within the postures, and how the breath serves as the link between the postures. I’m also smitten with alignment as a way of understanding ourselves and how truly incredible the human body is!
My classes are currently informed by my most recent studies of Anatomy and Kinesiology in the Advanced Studies Program with Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Mathews of The Breathing Project (NYC), whose teachings continue to transform both my own practice and my teaching.
